Rebelution proudly announces their headlining, 2011 “Winter Greens Tour,” with special guests Iration, Junior Reid, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and Orgone.
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 6, 2010)— Santa Barbara based band Rebelution has officially announced their highly anticipated, headlining 2011 “Winter Greens Tour” which will span 44 shows over the course of January, February, March, and April in 2011. Special guests on the tour will include a hand selected array of opening acts: hometown friends Iration, reggae legend Junior Reid, upcoming LA funk cohorts Orgone, and the improvisational grateful dub of Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad. Scheduled to kick off on January 13 with back-to-back shows in San Diego, California at The House of Blues, the band will also be promoting their EP of remixes entitled “Remix EP,” which will be officially released on January 11, 2011.
Available wherever digital downloads are sold, “Remix EP” will consist of six of Rebelution’s most popular tracks that have been remixed by various artists including Zion-I, Junior Reid, Jacob Hemphill of SOJA, Yeti Beats, Michael G (Easy Star All-Stars) and Amplive (Zion I).
In addition to the tour, Rebelution is introducing
innovative fan contests where their fans across the nation will have the opportunity to win a chance to partake in exclusive
“Sound Check Sessions,” where a select group of winners are able to watch Rebelution sound check and rehearse brand new songs before doors. Fans can submit
content for video, photo and art contests on the Rebelution tour site at www.wintergreenstour.com/contests. Categories include “homemade” video description of favorite Rebelution song and why, best tattoo, best drawing / painting / graphic design, video explaining their personal environmentally conscious lifestyle, and creating a music video. The band will decide the winners from each category.
In their time off stage, throughout the tour Rebelution will also be participating in Q&A sessions through their official Twitter page. Fans can tweet in their questions for the band to answer.
