Set To Release Triple Disc Album “Peace of Mind” on January 10^th, 2012

Rebelution has announced a headline tour, “The Peace of Mind Tour”, this winter in support of their third studio album, Peace of Mind, set for release on January 10^th through their own label, 87 Music with exclusive distribution partner Controlled Substance Sound Labs. The Santa Barbara, CA based band will kick off the tour on January 11^th in Albany, NY and will make stops in NYC, Atlanta, New Orleans, Las Vegas and more. Every online ticket purchase will receive a free download of a twelve track tour sampler featuring 3 songs from each band on the tour including an unreleased Rebelution song from the new album.

Rebelution will simultaneously release two additional versions of Peace of Mind making it a triple disc album. Peace of Mind: Acoustic will feature all twelve original album tracks stripped down acoustic as well as Peace of Mind: Dub remixed by Easy Star’s Michael Goldwasser (Dub Side of The Moon, Radiodread, Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band). Band Releases First Single, “Sky is the Limit”, For Download Today

On January 10, 2012, Santa Barbara, CA based Rebelution will release their 3rd studio album, Peace Of Mind, through their own label 87 Music. “It’s been two and a half years since our last album and we are very excited to release new material. The triple-album is definitely a progression musically and genre wise from our past albums, while still grounded in reggae,” says the band.

Expanding beyond their usual self-production, Rebelution collaborated with five different producers including Goldwasser (Easy Star All-Stars), Amplive (Zion-I), Yeti Beats (Kool Keith, George Clinton), Keith Armstrong and Errol Brown (Stephen, Ziggy, Damian, and Bob Marley), building upon their signature style and venturing into different musical landscapes. From the opening horns on “Sky is the Limit” to the lush strings incorporated into the gentle “Route Around” to the driving guitar and synths throughout “Lady In White”, the band has built upon their sound spanning a number of genres while remaining true to their reggae roots.

Hailing from Santa Barbara, California, Rebelution has developed into a front-runner for grassroots, independent and tour driven music groups representing California Reggae. Originally formed in 2004, members Eric Rachmany (vocals / guitar), Rory Carey (keyboards), Wesley Finley (drums), and Marley D. Williams (bass) met in college, while residing in Isla Vista, a popular beachside community in Santa Barbara. It was there that the seeds to Rebelution’s future were planted creating inspiring and engaging music that would leave their listeners with the sense that they have the power to make this world a better place.
