The Green who burst on to the national scene last year with their self-titled debut album, which was named Best Reggae Album of 2010 by both iTunes and Hawaii’s Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. Now, they are ready to pick up where they left off with their new release, Ways & Means.
The full-length album comes out October 25th, while the Love & Affection EP, featuring four tracks from the upcoming record along with an exclusive bonus dub, is available digitally on August 9th. The band has teamed up with the trendsetting indie reggae label Easy Star Records, for both releases.

With songs contributed by all four core members, a strong shot of assistance from touring bassist/producer Brad Watanabe and touring drummer/producer Leslie Ludiazo, and the mixing skills of Danny Kalb (Ben Harper), Michael Goldwasser (Easy Star All-Stars), Jim Fox (Rebelution, SOJA, Israel Vibration), and Matthew Honda, the message of Ways & Means boils down to bringing people together and respecting all people for who they are, whether it’s through a love song like the title track, a spiritual like “Jah Love,” or a paean to perseverance like “Keep On” on which all four songwriters collaborated.

On Ways & Means the band also interjects doses of R&B, Soul, and Pop, making them an accessible listen to fans outside of reggae circles without diluting their roots. Though The Green is an important player in the new wave of homegrown reggae artists, they stand out with their ability to play both classic roots and modern dancehall, their vocal harmonies recalling reggae’s golden age, and their four distinct songwriting and singing voices. With their upcoming extensive US tour kicking off around release date, The Green is poised to break out on a national level.

CLICK TO READ REVIEW

Three Legged Fox has returned stronger than ever, almost two and half years after the release of their sophomoric album “Not As Far” with their new, freshly polished sound making it’s way onto their third full length album “ALWAYS, ANYWAY”. Written, recorded and self produced this time around, like their debut album “IDEAS”. A lot has changed in just these couple of years, not just with the band but all around the world, especially with us as a nation. When something hits us so hard, we can’t help but take that and use it as fuel and that’s exactly what these guys did to create such a hard hitting, high energetic, in your face kind of sound for this album. ALTERNATIVE ROCK REGGAE BAND THREE LEGGED FOX SET TO RELEASE THIRD ALBUM ENTITLED “ALWAYS ANYWAY” ON AUGUST 16, 2011
Philadelphia based alternative rock reggae band Three Legged Fox announces the release of their highly anticipated, third full-length album “Always Anyway” on Tuesday August 16, 2011.

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 28, 2011)—Philadelphia based alternative rock, reggae band Three Legged Fox announced today their highly anticipated, third full-length album “Always Anyway” will be released digitally worldwide on Tuesday August 16, 2011.  Names as one of The Pier’s “Most Anticipated Albums of 2011” this self-produced album will unveil 12 brand new tracks, and is two years in the making, showcasing the band’s unique brand of reggae mixed with alternative rock sounds.

The band shares, “We knew from the word ‘go’ that we wanted to go really big on this one.  We wanted big sounds, accessible songs, and an overall modern approach.  We felt as though we had already done the raw, stripped down thing twice; and we had done the whole reggae horns, arrangement type of thing with the last album.  It was within us to understand that we’re not a traditional American reggae band; we’re an alternative rock, reggae band.  Ultimately, realizing what we are, and what we aren’t made it much easier and a lot of fun making this new album.”

The first single off the new album will be “Let You Down,” and a music video for the song will be unleashed on Monday August 1, 2011.  With over 350 shows played nationally under their belts, Three Legged Fox has shared the stage with notable artists such as Rebelution, SOJA, John Brown’s Body, Tyrone Wells, The Black Seeds, Barrington Levy, and The Wailers, to name a few.  Following the album release, Three Legged Fox plans on touring to promote the album in major cities nationwide.
